Must not have been a quilter and wanted to pretend they were and took the quilt top to show off as their own. I cannot see a quilter taking the top as they know the work you put into it.
I feel like you do, I'll never believe that it was a real quilter, quilters help and pray and take care of people. A real quilter don't take away from or cheap or steal from people. A real quilter is about love and this was not an act of love. This was a act of selfishness.
