Where to begin, you created a very fun and whimsical quilt I know a child will truly love and enjoy, the prairie points in the binding are a very creative touch. I have worked as a volunteer at my local fair for many years, use this experience as a steeping stone to begin to volunteer at your fair, you will learn a lot! and make a difference... volunteers are the ones that display the entries, volunteers are the ones that take in entries, volunteers are the ones that help the judges scribing, entering information, pinning ribbons etc. then during the fair, volunteers work as security in the building. What opportunities! contact your building superintendent and volunteer maybe also ask hubby to volunteer as well, hanging quilts and creating displays is a LOT of work, I have climber those ladders all day and trust me if your volunteers are older, maybe folding quilts is easier than breaking your neck! yesterday at Church I asked for volunteers to help me hang our quilt show in 2 weeks! However when I create displays I attempt to show as much of the work as possible and make sure the name can clearly be seen. I have also trained and work as a quilt judge. Did your judge provide you with comments? those can really help you to improve your quilting, also remember those are just the opinions of one person. Keep quilting and I look forward to seeing more of your work!
