Seems like things are going much better now.

The only other thing I might add would be to check your needle and make sure that it did not get bent.

Whenever I have problems with any of my machines (I have many....don't know if that's good or bad), I turn the machine off and then back on and then rethread everything.

I did learn something new.....I never thought about the plastic bobbin having a nick.
