This is seeewwwww true LOL . . .when I first started quilting, I bought a 1/4" quilting foot and stitched exactly 1/4", time and time again and couldn't get the diagonal seams right. Nearly drove me nuts :D Finally figured out my quilting book was "off the mark" I would pay big bucks for a 3/16" pressure foot for my machine :D[/quote]

I can move my needle one place over and it becomes a scant 1/4 ". Needless to say, go very slow while trying it, to be sure the needle doesn't hit the foot or the smaller hole plate. Mine have enough room to move a couple of places if necessary.
