think it depends on the look you are going for. My suggestion would be to try red, or shades of orange to make it vibrant. If you want a calmer look, I would go lighter but with a color that would not wash out the cream color you have. Maybe a white or very light blue. Good luch on whatever you decide, it will be a beautiful quilt.
