Today my DH and I took an injured bird to our Wild Life Vet to be checked out. When we walked in Dr. was coming out of the dispensary with 2 bottles of milk in her hand and a towel. She handed them to me and asked if I'd feed the baby racoon while she checked out the injured bird. My DH took the attached pictures. Dr. also had several raptors in hospital with broken wings, injured legs and one of these is a Falcon with a broken wing. Dr. was going to remove the pins in the bird's wing this afternoon so it won't be long he'll be soaring above the clouds ...we hope!!

The racoon likes to lay on his back, hold the bottles in his little hands and when he gets tired of sucking he just opens his mouth real wide and nudges your hand with his so you sqeeze the milk out of the bottle into his open mouth. It's so cute. When we were done he went to Dr. and tried to bury his head and nose in the sleeve of her shirt while he was settling down on his back in the crook of her arm . That was pretty cute, too.
