I am back in North Carolina this week moving my parents into assisted living. Yesterday my mother instructed me to get this box out for her ~ THIS was in it. She has been working on this quilt for years and just finished it. She wanted to send it to her niece in Boston for her birthday.
It is all hand pieced and hand quilted. I was clearing out photo albums last night and found pictures of her piecing it about 6 years ago!!!
Now I'm jealous of my cousin!
By the way, Mom turned 87 last week!
Your not kidding Mom is really into Blues!! Like I told you before I do not understand how she does the quilts by hand and makes them look like they were done on a machine. I am really amazed at the work that she has done.
I know the move has been hard on you with all of the packing and shuffling about between apartment and house. If you need me you know how to get a hold of me.
In the mean time go get mom some more fabric and let her have at it!!!
