I am in search of a book that perhaps shows a newbie how to "practice" drawing designs that you want to create with your longarm machine....such as feathers. I've read so many posts that say the best way is to practice drawing on paper first. My drawing skills are not the best.....not the worst either.....but, I know if I had some directional lines, starting points, I could get a handle on this. I've watched some of the videos on You-Tube, etc....but they are always so fast that I can't always tell where and how they started. Do such quilting books exist? I want to do free-hand instead of following a pantograph.
