I was thinking this too, volunteering would be a great way to fill in some time. That way, you aren't bound to stay there because of money, and it gives you a good feeling. Could you volunteer at one of the nursing homes? Maybe even the one your mom is in?
I think taking on the other job sounds like a no-win. To work that many more hours to only make $100 more doesn't sound worth it. (Works out to $5 an hour if you think about it!)
