It's in Barbara Brackman's book, Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Blocks. It also goes by the names: Dutch Rose, Eccentric Star, Octagonal Star, Orphan Star, Star and Diamond, Triple Star, & Unknown Star. I think I have seen it as Dutch Rose somewhere. It is the same as Carpenter's Wheel/Carpenter's Star but with one color instead. Here's the easy version of Carpenter's Wheel:
