I saw an adorable "quickie" in our local quilt shop this week. It was just 2-1/2 strips (jelly rolls) sewn together vertically to make about a 36x44" quilt. It was so colorful and cute. There was one done by the rag method, which could easily be done in one sitting, and another one done by regular sandwich method and machine quilted in the ditch.
