Another thing you could do is get a pattern from Eleanor Burns.(Quilt in a day).The first quilt i ever made was hers and I cut it out one day and sewed the quilt top together the next night. I have made many of her quilts.
She has a web. Quiltinaday.com She also has videos on the web to show how to make some of her quilts. Her series now is Strip tease. She makes several quilts out of 1 jelly roll. Hope this helps.
