This year, once again, I entered 2 blocks in our County Fair Quilt Block Contest. 39 blocks were entered this year. (I think it's because the fabric is so pretty, don't you?) Anyway, I was notified that one of my blocks was selected as one of the Top 12. (Whoo-Hoo!) These blocks will be used in a quilt that will be raffled off next year to raise money for the Home Arts Department for the fair. Names from the contest participants will be drawn for the remaining blocks (usually 12 or less depending on the number entered). It's lots of fun to do and the raffle money goes to a great cause. Here's pictures of the two blocks I entered.
