Have they done a follow up x-ray? Did they do one in the 1st place? How about sending you to a pulmonary doc? Hacking up orange stuff still? You have to give the antibiotics a chance to work, but I would think you'd be doing better a week later. I had pnemonia many years ago, I just remember not being able to walk 10 steps without sitting down to catch my breath..it was awful. But I was completely recovered and back to work in 2 weeks. I'm no expert, but if you have questions, you should get answers from your doctor, and if you don't feel you're getting satisfactory care, keep asking questions and insist on better care. As much as we'd like to trust our healthcare professionals to do what they should, we need to educate ourselves enough to know when they're not! Ultimately, our health is our responsibility. Hang in there, get a bunch of rest and get better.
