My grandmothers and aunts told me they had to make their own reusable ones.
My grandmother would be 102 & she told us she remembered when they were 1st made. Greatgrandmother ordered them from Kansas City. How nice to have to throw them away. Can you imagine these little missys today having to wash them like they did long ago. Thus where the term "rag" can into being.Makes you really appreciate modern inventions.
