My 'day' job (the one that keeps me from quilting as much as I'd like) is as a script analyst for the movie studios. What you've done here is what we would call a 'Page One rewrite' - where you take only the most basic elements of the project (in your case, the fabric!), toss the rest aside and totally start over. It's really hard to do, at least in the screenplay world, so I applaud your ability to revise your vision so thoroughly!
