My favorite memory of my Grandma was sitting on her lap in her chair as she rocked. She never got tired of rocking. Her chair 'walked' to the left so every so often we had to move it over or we would run into the wall. Her cuckoo clock was on the wall above her chair. I wish I had a cuckoo clock. Mine got broken in our move to New Mexico. Now one of the weights is lost. Maybe I'll be able to get one next time Ben goes overseas.
Grandma always smelled cool, like an ocean breeze, but with a little hint of roses or lilac. Her favorite color was blue. She and I would poor over her Ideal magazines. Is Ideal still making magazines?
