There are a couple of ways you can import fabric.
1 - scan the actual fabric and save as .jpg files. In EQ6, go to Libraries - Fabric Library and at the bottom, choose Import - from Image Files and go get the files you saved.
2 - go to the EQ website and dowload free fabrics. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Here's a link:

3 - many fabric manufacturers provide free downloads of their fabrics. If you subscribe to the EQ newsletter, you will receive links in the newsletter.
