As for the quilt for yourself. It sounds to me that you are a very giving person, no shame in that. The quilt I did for myself took longer than any other. After I finally finished it(took 7 months and was a lap quilt)I deciced I would like to sell this one. Currently I've been working on finishing my UFO's which is 3 full size quilts and 3 baby quilts, several tops started not finished, a lace table cloth and the list goes on. When you figure out how to fit yourself in and get all those loose end projects done please let all of us know many of us have been trying for years, its part of the quilting OCD.
