Yvonne, when I needleturn, I trace the outline of the pattern on the front of the fabric, trim and clip the turns, pin it in place, and turn with the needle about 1/2 to 1 inch ahead of where I am sewing, using the pencil line as a guide. It's worked really well for me. Since I tried this, I hate the freezer paper method. It seems too clumsy. Try it. I know you can do it well, as you do everything else.
