Here are my first quilting projects. The star quilt was made in my beginning quilt class at our local quilt shop. I learned so much and had a lot of fun. :)

The second quilt is a super fast jelly roll quilt I made according to a tutorial on here. While I was making it, my wonderful MIL saw it and fell in love with the strips of the kittens looking over a fence. I knew immediately it would be her quilt. I looked for fabric that had more of those kittens, but couldn't find any. So, I found this kitten fabric and made this pillowcase to coordinate for her. Wednesday is her birthday, so I am sending these express mail to her assisted living center. Keep your fingers crossed that it makes it by her birthday on Wednesday.

The table runner was fun! It used a charm pack called the 12 days of Christmas. I can't remember the name of the pattern right now, but it was a bugger matching up the seams and points. A lady at my LQS gave me four of those forked pins. You know, the expensive ones? They cost nearly 35 cents each. Anyway, she was a darling and showed them to me. They saved this project! They are worth the money, that's for sure.

Well, don't look too closely at any of these, they are my first projects after all. Thanks for listening and looking.
