I'm a newbie quilter. Decided to make one as a wedding gift for my son. The blocks were 19" square made up of 2 squares, 2 rectangles and a co-ordinating colour strip in the center. Very easy to put together and very easy to quilt. It was far from perfect but I will learn as I go along. I used jewels tones in deep red, gold, green and a print that had every colour in it. I was very pleased with the way it turned out and so were the newly weds. As a result, I have the "bug" and can hardly wait to start another one.
