I've used it, but only as a center of a rag quilt to make the ragging look and feel better. I'm not sure how you would use it as regular fabric.
I have used Osnaburg as the basis for embroidered (hand) blocks, then bordered each block w/reg quilters' cotton fabric, pieced as usual into a quilt & machine quilted. It's used mainly as a wall hanging during the holidays, altho I have washed it once. Came out fine-- but then there's a lot of stitches holding it in place. I would suggest it just depends on how you plan to use it - I certainly would never use it as fabric for a block all by itself. Hope this helps~
