That is a good idea, and really makes the gift more personal. What better way to remember someone from another state than to have a souvenir to look at. Also regional recipes, souvenir pot-holders, even prepackaged ethnic foods (I guess that would be beans and rice or gumbo mix from here). These things are relatively inexpensive and really help to stretch the $10 budget. And refridgerator magnets -- who can live without them (except for the youth with their stainless steel kitchens).
