Well as so many have said it depends on your height as to what is going to be comfortable for you. I have two 5ft folding tables we bought from walmart so I can lay out my quilts to pin them. I just can't get on the floor. My knees and back are shot. I have them set up in my livingroom right now so I can do some cutting. Hubby cut some pvc pipe about 12 inches long and stuck one on each of the legs of the tables to jack them up so I don't have to bend over the tables. I just love it!! They aren't pretty but it works. You have to use pvc pipe that is larger in diameter than the table legs. There is no way the table can fall over. No way it could be a danger to you or someone walking by. They are removable, if the table needs to be used for something else. This really works. My daughter snickered when she saw it but you could even spray paint the pvc if you want it to look better.
