My son lives in southern California and a regular quilt is too warm for him - it ends up being kicked onto the floor while he sleeps. I would like to make him more of a coverlet and thought that flannel might be heavy enough with all the seams from the piecing to give it a nice weight. He has a platform bed, one without a box spring, so it doesn't need to be as large as a regular full bedspread. What do you think? Will flannel work for this? Thanks for all the great advice you have given me on previous topics.
