II have a Spartan my cousin found at a garage sale for $5.00 & gave it to me. It's in perfect shape and sews great but is so heavy to lug around but they are a good little machine.[/quote]
I also found a Spartan at a garage sale for $5. I gave it to a friend after I got it running perfect. Her granddaughter uses it and thinks she has a perfect machine. The Spartan is a 3/4 size machine but way heavier than the featherweight. It does not have a light and you have to hold down the bobbin winder for it to work. I love those little machines, I'd pick up every one I find!
