Good afternoon Everyone! The guy was late, but I finally got my new "to me" featherweight. I contemplated offering him even less than I paid, but since he delivered it I decided to go ahead and pay what I originally offered. I'm gonna post pics so you can see how pretty she is, but first let me tell you what I got. It's not a 1949 like he told me, it's a 1951 Centennial serial # AJ224809. Billy, can you confirm this for me and provide any more details I may want. He got it from a friend and it belonged to her mother who bought it many years ago to mend her husband's work uniforms. She never used it. Maybe because it's missing a ton of stuff. It didn't come with the manual, no accessories except 2 feet. Oh yeah, the decals are perfect and the machine itself is beautiful with just a few pin scratches on the bed. It sews good, but keeps breaking the thread. I will have to mess with it some more to get it to work, if I can. It didn't come with any bobbins and I'm not sure the bobbin case is the right one. The foot pedal is in really bad shape. It's missing the "button" that makes it go. The cord is frayed badly on both ends. The lid on the case is cracked all the way across. The accessory tray is missing and there is no key. With all that said, she's a very beautiful machine and appears to work pretty well. I wasn't able to get a good photo of the serial number. They kept coming out blurry.

So, let me know what you think. I hope I made a good deal.

Notice the button is missing and the cord is badly frayed.

Not sure this is the right bobbin case and the "finger" spins around. Is it supposed to do that?
