Hope I have not confused you all but I am trying to get the templates the correct size. I have decided that the cd that came with the book has too many errors.
Today I did block73 as it is a very plain block using template 1 which measures from the print out 2.5 inches. If you look at the book you then add another the same size then similar to log cabin you do the rest of the block so I found that this works out at finished 2x4 is 8 inches whensewn plus the outer seam allowance. this looks ok but then I decided to try another block using template 1 that is block 26. This then has sets of triangular pieces which obviously make up to be a section the same size as template 5 so when these are then joined it 3 rows of 2 in blocks plus outer seam allowance. Just does not add up to me.. I am going to try the templates from the web site and see if I can make a difference. I dont mind if all my blocks are going to be 7 inches when sewn together but I am fiinding it hard to make the templates equate to the sizes required.
