To me anything under 1 1/2 inches goes out. However it goes into a bag for a friend who does mini's. She will get a bag of little pieces and spend hours sorting and planning where to use the small pieces. Her quilts are gorgeous though and I admire her ability to use all the tiny fabric scraps.
