Also...

When artists do batik, they actually BOIL the fabric and the wax melts off, and rises to the top of the water. The pot cools, and the wax can be removed in a sheet. SO....if it's a whole, whole lot of wax and you are desperate...you can try this. But I guess you gotta weigh the cost-benefit of doing this. If it's a queen size top, you'd need a really big pot. And if it's not 100% cotton, I'd not try it.
