She has managed to get out most of the was using various methods and most of the discoloration is gone, but you can feel there is still wax down in the fibers of the fabric and the fabric is stiff. Anybody have an experience with something like this? Is the quilt top ruined ? Or can it be saved ?
When a student in school we did this on purpose to make batik art "blocks". We ironed them with newspaper. Blank newspaper so you don't transfer the newspaper ink to the quilt. also, I thought the boiling idea was a good one unless it's not 100% cotton. However, if you do this, it will probably shrink.
