My journal so far includes swatches of fabric, pictures (when I get them printed), a thank you card from one of the recipients, descriptions of who the quilt goes to plus the basic quilt demographics.

Name of pattern; materials - fabric names, thread, batting; dates started/finished/quilted (if not a rag quilt).

Also comments about the process and what I learned from the project.

I'm a very new quilter so I am currently caught up.

I'm also blogging about the learning process - so I have the electronic journal that I can refer back to as I write.

I found a couple sample journals on google and decided that I wanted to do mine less formally than some but also try to be consistent.
