Which of your quilts is your favorite and why?

What do you do with the quilts you make?

What is the oldest quilt in your collection?

Do you belong to a guild, or attend workshops?

Have you ever entered a quilt in a quilt-show or fair?

Have you encouraged others to try quilting?

Why do you quilt?
I taught myself to quilt. My first quilt was "grandmother's garden" I still have it and its a UFO - I'm hand quilting it, it was all sewn by hand (king size). I don't have one favorite, but if I had to choose I'd say "Precious Cargo" a baby quilt I made for a past student who now works with my husband. It's bright appliqued trains. I give my quilts away as gifts. The oldest one is my first one. I don't belong to any guilds nor do I show my quilts anywhere. I encourage others only by sharing what I'm doing and I tell everyone about this board. I quilt because I love fabric, I love to touch fabric and the art of it. I love handmade things and the history of quiltmaking. Its such a facinating art form. And practical too!
