I also have a Designer 1, and an SE which is my fav. :D (I also have a really great hubby who buys me these great machines) I have the extension table that was included with the Quilter's kit years ago and I love it. Luckily it fits on both machines. The Mylar sheet is a great idea. I have the teflon matt with the hole for the needle and it works well. I wish I could make my free motion work as well. :?
