Who taught you how to quilt?
Taught myself by trying it out and making a lot of mistakes.

What pattern was the first quilt you made?
No real pattern, just squares. Made for a former principal who had leukemia. Each staff member decorated a square to represent things that the principal liked to do or special memories and I sewed it together. Sadly, she passed a few days before I finished it.

Do you still have your 1st quilt?
Gave it to her husband as a memorial.

Which of your quilts is your favorite and why?
Don't have a favorite

What do you do with the quilts you make?
Almost all have been given as gifts. Still don't have one for myself.

What is the oldest quilt in your collection?
Someone gave me one made in the 30s or 40 that someone had given her. Sadly she let the dogs sleep on it so it needs a lot of repair.

Do you belong to a guild, or attend workshops?
No. Went to a class once at a quilt retreat.

Have you ever entered a quilt in a quilt-show or fair?
No, I'm not good enough yet.

Have you encouraged others to try quilting?
Yes, my SIL has started.

Why do you quilt?
It relaxes me -- unless the quilt is misbehaving.
QuiltMania,

Making a lot of mistakes is the best way to learn!
