It's difficult to stop everything and change to a walking foot if I am working on multiple projects...also wouldn't mind a second machine to do embroidery??? Am I dreaming....Opinions???
Watch those cheap ones. They are just that...CHEAP. Most of the internal parts are plastic. Go to a dealer and see if they have any trade-ins. Tell them what you are looking for and they should be able to help you. My Viking dealer is in our local Joann store. I have known her for years and she has always been very trustworthy. I have 5 machines I use all the time. I call my Designer I my workhorse because that is the one I use for everyday mending and ordinary sewing. My new Diamond is used almost exclusively for embroidery, because I can design on the computer and download it directly to the machine. My Topaz currently has the walking foot on it for quilting. The SE I have the 1/4" foot on it. I also have 2 sergers.
