I am so anal, so I tend to agree with Eddie and Daisyboo. I would remove the top border; replace it with a new top and bottom border with embroydery of your choice on both top and bottom. Add one more set of borders like maybe a blue and white star or a red and white stripe. Cut the old top border in quarters and either splice the 1/4 pieces in the middle of the new border or use it for the corners only of that last border. That way you can use the top border that you cut off and you end up with a bigger quilt in the proces. Clear as mud? But I think I'd rather beg, borrow and steel enough to finish it by finding more of the fabric you're using cuz it's so darn cute the way it is. If you can't find it in the stores ask us - someone may have some of that fabric...
