I want to make a quilt similar to this one:

Here's my question... when you applique do you turn the edges under or to you rely on the staying power of your fusing web and just outline sew (buttonhole, zig zag or satin) around the the pieces???

I don't think this quilt will get a lot of wash and wear but it won't be hung either... I have so few large walls and almost all of them have furniture positioned against them!
