wow, that is beautiful! there is a product out there...disolveable foundation paper...the paper disolves in water after all the stitching. it comes in a paper packet, i think the one i bought was 50 sheets. it runs through the printer fine and disolves well. i actually started doing all my paper piecing on foundation fabric so i don't have to remove it, it just adds a layer to my quilt. but if you do not want heavier quilts the foundation paper that disolves may be the answere for you. i think i picked mine up from clotilde's catalog.
