When our son Mark told us about losing his buddy and fellow Airman during his last deployment, my heart went out to all involved, but especially to his 9 year old daughter. Not knowing what else to do, I made a quilt for her! Mark sent me some of his uniforms and helped me with choosing the quilt design. Mark contacted Jordan (Tony's daughter) to find our what colors she would like in the quilt. I expected typical pre-teen colors, but she selected red, white and blue. So, I went with dark red, navy blue and white (the white fabric glows in the dark as an added bonus).

The quilt went in the mail yesterday! There are 6 photos below (I hope I can get them to post) if you want to see how it turned out. I hope it is something that will bring at least a tiny bit of comfort to Jordan.
