now, I have a question about your border - - how did you decide which colors to put where in your checkerboard border?
It looks so "scrappy", but sooo planned!
Did you make a formula? Did you just pull little squares out of a brown bag?
Did you sew strips, cut into pieces, throw the pieces into the air and pick them up however?
(Can't tell I have control issues, can you? LOL)
Those squares look so "orderly" ... can you give me a hint how you got all those colors balanced? <wave>
Thank you for your kind words about my quilt. The pattern came with a photograph which I tried to match with my own fabrics. That helped tremendously. As far as the border (on the four-patches), I just made sure that I sewed the squares contrasting between light and dark blue. I hope that helps.
