When I get it going again I sew for a little bit and then it sticks again and puckers up the fabric.

Now the belt keeps slipping.
It happened the first night I had the treadle and I tightened the belt as it was REALLY loose. But I looked at it and its not loose (well a little but no more then it should be).

Anyone one have any suggestions?
How is your treadling? I had a terrible time getting even stitches because I was a terrible treadler! Once, I figured out how to treadle and keep going forward, I had no problems with thread breaks any more. When I started treadling I was not smooth and the machine would go forward then take a back stitch and break thread -- constantly. Also, make sure you have a new, sharp needle!

Good Luck!

Nancy
Thanks Nancy. My treadling is fine. I have been treadling for as long as I can remember with my mothers treadles. I have a smooth motion and its not the top thread that breaks and get stuck its the bobbin. even when I am done I can not pull the tread.

I just took the head out and figured I will mess with it another day.
I cleaned up my 66-16 and put it in there and it runs great! and it has a back tack that is so cool.
