Hello and welcome from Boston, Ma. Sorry to hear about your accident but glad to know that you want to quilt while you are incapacitated. You will get info here on quilt frames. I made my own lap ones out of the round quilt hoop, added four pieces of wood like legs and then added a base which sits on my lap so I can just put my hands up inbetween the legs and quilt away. You can also have your friend make one out of PVC pipes which can be any size you want.
