I am very sad My Singer 4166 is frozen on me and I can not for the life of me figure out what is wrong with it. It won't sew anything the feed dogs won't even move. The red light will not turn off. I still have the instruction book there are NO troubleshotting tips. I took it appart and cleaned it out but it was empty. I am so confused any ideas anyone please.
I have so many swaps to get done soon, I really need my machine to be able too. :(

Sounds like what my Singer just went through. I took it in, and the repair man said that sometimes the belt slips off inside. Is it under warranty? He had to crack the case, fix the belt and put it back together, he had it four days and it's ready for pick up. I don't know if that's the answer, hopefully its something much more simple.
