I would take it back and ask her to fix it. If a quilter runs out of thread and needs to use a different color, you should tell the client and ask her if she can wait while you order the proper thread color or if a color that is very close would be all right to use. A quilter shouldn't use white thread if she ran out of maroon!!!:shock: And a quilter should not give a quilt with bird's nest and loose threads to a customer AND charge her for it!!!

Depending on the sizes of your quilts, for the quilting she did, she's very expensive. It looks like she just did an all-over pattern, which should cost you .015 cents per square inch. I've charged more than that for 1 quilt but it was totally custom, block, sash, border specific for a large (100 x 100) quilt.
