Welcome for California, but born and raised in Sherrill, NY. I am new to quilting and the board, too. Started with aprons, pillowcases, totes, and a dress for my DGD. Moved on to appliqued wall hangings, coasters, , diaper changing pad, potholders and placemats. Then I did a baby quilt. Now I'm working on a jelly roll strip quilt and chemo turbans. Have not taken any lessons yet, but have signed up for a mid-Sept paper piecing class. Can't wait. I also want to do a stack and whack in the worst way. Just jump in (perhaps with inexpensive fabric if you are really leary). Guaranteed, you will figure it out and have fun. And all the lovely people on this site are more than willing to assist. They are the nicest, kindest, and most helpful people you'd ever want to meet.
