That is such a sweet story. THere are good people in the world!
I lived in the first floor apartment of an apartment complex. My balcony was a slab of concrete with railings. Everytime it rained hard or for a long time, earthworms would come up on the slab to escape all the water. I knew when the sun came back out they would dry up. So one time, I gathered all the worms up and threw them back on the lawn so they could get underground again. What I didn't know, was that the ducks from our pond were also watching, and as soon as those worms hit the grass, all the ducks came over and ate them!!!!!! Here I thought I was doing something nice! I never did that again.
