Hello everybody! This is my first time organizing a swap and I'm excited! Let's swap finished potholders. This is open to quilters of all skill levels. C'mon and play!
Here are the rules for this swap:
1) Make up to 10 potholders. Any colors, any design. They should be at least 5 inches square. You don't have to use 100% cotton, but be wise in your fabric choices. Jean material would work well, but don't do anything that would melt when exposed to heat, like polyester. Safety is important! Please test your potholders to make sure it'll protect hands from hot dishes from the oven. All potholders you send in will be swapped. You will not recieve any of your own back. You will get as many back as you send. (For example, if you send 4, you'll get one potholder back from each of 4 different people.)
2) Please mark each one of your potholders so the recipients know who made them. This can be as elaborate as an embroidered label on the potholder, as simple as a piece of paper pinned to it with your boardname, or anything in-between.
3) Sign up by October 31st, 2010. PM me, MegsAnn, to sign up. Please don't sign up until you've made all of the potholders (limit 10) that you plan to submit for the swap, and let me know how many that is. I'd like to keep a running count.
4) Mail potholders to me, MegsAnn. They must be postmarked by November 5, 2010. Send them with a self addressed, stamped envelope for return postage. If you forget to send postage, there will be a delay getting them back until you've sent it. My address will be sent to you by PM. Please send potholders by priority mail, or your country's equivalent so they will arrive on time. Don't select a mailing method that will take more than 2 weeks. Anything that hasn't been recieved by November 25th will be returned to you unswapped.
5) Wait patiently (or impatiently, your choice!) for me to swap out the potholders and send them back to you. I plan to have them all mailed back by December 1st, 2010.
