If the connector strips are high contrast as in yours, misalignment really stands out.
The only advise I can give you there is to match and pin. It's the only part of the quilt I pinned. I hate to use pins because I always end up sticking myself a few times....ouch!! If you look, and your sashing is a contrasting color, you can see it between the layers....Wish I could give you more help!
